AIPA joins coalition in support of H.R. 6610 - The Pharmacists Fight Back Act

On July 17, 2026, the Alabama Independent Pharmacy Alliance joined a broad national coalition of pharmacy associations, independent pharmacy cooperatives, patient advocates, and consumer groups in a formal letter to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. The letter strongly urges swift passage of H.R. 6610, the Pharmacists Fight Back Act, which would bring transparency and accountability to pharmacy benefit manager practices inside the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program. Citing hundreds of millions of dollars in documented PBM overcharges, the coalition calls for market-based pharmacy reimbursement, an end to hidden fees and steering, and 100% pass-through of manufacturer rebates.
